Men Linked In Tate Case Questioned

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 – Los Angeles Police had said yesterday that all four of the men wanted for questioning in connection with the Tate murders have been interviewed.

The men, including two Canadians, once were described in a Royal Canadian Mounted Police broadcast as suspects in the case, in which actress Sharon Tate was slain along with four other persons at her Benedict Canyon home Aug. 9.

The broadcast later was modified to having the men interviewed for Los Angeles Police.

Police Inspector Harold Yarnell said two of the men, Charles Tacot and Michael Harrigan, were interviewed when they voluntarily came to Los Angeles police.

Two others were interviewed by Los Angeles Police officers in other cities. William Doyle 28, was interviewed yesterday in Toronto, while Harris P. Dawson 26, was interviewed New York City.

The men were acquainted with singer Cass Elliot, who knew the victims. The men also had attended a party at which three of the five victims were present.

None of the men was held

One Response to Men Linked In Tate Case Questioned

  1. James Hondo says:

In my readings, I cannot help but think that Cass Elliot is a critical person, perhaps unwittingly, with Manson and the Tate murders. Cass knew EVERYONE. She is the link that seems to connect all the players/victims/murderers. Both Pic Dawson and Bill Doyle were her friends and lovers for several years. Pic she had known since 1962 when she met him at American University in Alexandria Virginia (which, presumably was a hot recruiting spot for the CIA). I recently ran across a quote from Paul Krassner, in which he says he believed Cass “died” because she knew too much about criminal activities in Hollywood, Vegas, and DC. Any ideas on this …??
