On 6-9-70, D/Brunner filed an affidavit, which will be made a part of this report, in the Superior Court, Department 107, People vs Beausoleil, Motion for a New Trial and Reduction of Penalty.

On 6-12-70, D/Brunner testified in Department 107 that her testimony in the Beausoleil trial had been false and that she had been coerced into testifying. Judge William Keene appointed Attorney Ernest Graves to represent Miss Brunner and after a short conference, Miss Brunner took the stand and testified that her testimony had, in fact, been the truth.

On 6-15-70 during final arguments in Department 107, D/Brunner stood up in the rear of the court at approximately 1050 hours and shouted, "Bobby didn't do it. I would have told you that if you didn't make those jackass statements about putting me in jail for murder." Judge Keene held D/Brunner in contempt of court and sentenced her to five days in the County Jail.

A conference was held with District Attorney J. Miller Levy and Burton Katz and on 6-16-70, the Grand Jury heard testimony from the following witnesses:

An indictment was returned and submitted to Judge Malcom Lucas, Department 100; A260839.

On 6-16-70 at 1500 hours, defendant was transported from Sybil Brand Institute to Department 100 for arraignment and requested to represent herself, pro per. Judge Lucas set date for arraignment over to 6-22-70 at 0900 hours. Defendant remanded to custody; no bail.
