On 8-1-69, an autopsy was performed at the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office which revealed victim had been stabbed twice in the chest and once across the left side of the face with a somewhat large knife.

Contacted GLENN KRELL, **** Avenue, West Los Angeles (victim's employer), who stated victim was last seen 7-25-69 at his place of employment and was enroute to a meeting in Santa Monica. Victim was driving a 1965 Fiat Station Wagon, cream in color, with a Toyota motor which protrudes through the front grille; also that victim owned a Volkswagen bus, red and white, license PGE 388.

Due to victim's vehicles missing from location, an All Points Bulletin was broadcast.

On 8-6-69, suspect was arrested in San Luis Obispo by the California Highway Patrol in the victim's 1965 Fiat Station Wagon.

Undersigned proceeded to San Luis Obispo and searched victim's vehicle at the impound yard. In the tirewell was found a hunting knife with what appears to be blood on it.

Undersigned proceeded to the San Luis Obispo County Jail and interviewed suspect. After advising suspect of his Constitutional rights, which were waived, suspect stated on 7-25-69 he hitchhiked to victim's home in the accompaniment of two females; that upon his arrival victim had been cut across the left side of his face and stated he had been jumped by Negros. Further, that he attempted to sew up victim's ear with a needle and thread and stayed with the victim until 7-26-69 at which time victim gave him the keys to the Fiat and the pink slip which he signed so that suspect would have no trouble with the law. Further, that he could use the car indefinitely. Suspect stated he left victim lying in the living room on the floor dressed as he was found by the original responding deputies.
