Manson Friends Fail to Show for Loitering Trial

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 – A Municipal Court judge today had issued warrants for the arrest of eight members of Charles Manson’s ‘family’ after they failed to appear for trial setting on loitering charges.
Two of the group Lynette Fromme and Ruth Ann Morehouse, already were in custody on other charges, however
The other six are Craig Hammond 20, Bert Townsend 18, Charles Lovett 18, Sue Bartell 19, Kathy Gillis 21 and Sandra Good.
They were arrested last Sept. 16 outside the Hall of Justice, where Manson and three female followers are being tried for murder.
Members of the family have been keeping a constant “vigil” at an intersection near the Hall of Justice.
Municipal Judge Wilbur G. Dettmar issued the bench warrant for their arrest
