Suit Filed Against Ex-Milford Woman, Linda Kasabian

KEENE, N.H. – A $650,000 suit against Linda Kasabian, formerly of Milford, star witness in the Sharon Tate trial, has been filed in Cheshire County Superior Court on behalf of the son of one of the murder victims.

Hanna Promisca, guardian of Bartyke Frykowski, entered the action as a result of the five slayings in Los Angeles in 1969. Frykowski, a minor, is the son of Voitych Frykowski, one of the victims.

The plaintiff was granted $500,000 plus court costs in a suit against Mrs. Kasabian, 22 and the “family” of Charles Manson, who along with three women, was found guilty in the murder case.

The Cheshire County suit contends the money was not recovered and covers the future earnings of Mrs. Kasabian, who turned state’s evidence in the murder trial in return for immunity. Mrs. Kasabian now lives in Alstead.

The suit was filed by attorney Howard Nedved of Nashua on behalf of Los Angeles attorney Nathaniel Friedman who represents Frykowski.
