Manson Cult Girl Gets Added Term for Aiding Escapee

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 — Sandra Good, 27-year-old follower of hippie cult leader Charles Manson, was sentenced to spend two more months in jail today for her part in helping Kenneth Como flee after his Oct. 20 escape from County Jail.

Superior Judge Paul G. Breckenridge imposed the the 60-day sentence after noting that the petite strawberry blonde has already been in custody for four months.

She was convicted Feb. 4 on the charge of aiding and abetting Como’s escape. The same nine-woman, three-man jury had found Como guilty on the escape charge the previous day, then returned the verdict against Miss Good after several hours of additional deliberation.

Como sawed his way out of the 13th-floor cell at the Hall of Justice and then fashioned a rope out of mattress covers to swing down the outside of the building into an eighth-floor courtroom.

He then made his way to the ground floor to a van in which Miss Good was sleeping. They drove away together and were captured several hours later in Hollywood.
