On 11-12-69, preliminary hearing was held before Judge Merrick at Malibu Municipal Court. Defendant was represented by Attorney Gerald Condon and William Ross. Witnesses to appear for the people were Deputy Paul Piet; Dr. Katsuyama, Deputy Coroner; C. Guenther, Homicide Bureau; and Defendant Susan Denise Atkins.

Defendant was held to answer on the above chargs, Murder 187 PC; arraignment in Superior Court, Santa Monica, Department A, to be on 11-26-69. Defendant remanded to the Sheriff, no bail.
